When a driver is logged into the app but has not accepted a ride, a lower coverage tier applies: at least $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident, and $25,000 in property damage.
$1.5 million once a ride is accepted
From the moment a driver accepts a ride request until the passenger exits the vehicle, the company's commercial policy must provide at least $1.5 million in combined liability coverage.
Protection if another driver is uninsured
New Jersey also requires up to $1.5 million in uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage during an active ride, among the strongest protections in the state.
The 2-year deadline to file
